We despatch to addresses in the UK and Worldwide.
Retail orders of £15.00 or over: FREE delivery
UK retail orders of less than £15.00: £2.00
Overseas retail orders of less than £15.00: £3.00 (This covers additional postage, and discs sent overseas are put into Ejector Cases, or other protective packaging)
Retail orders of less than £15.00 are sent to UK addresses by 1st Class post, with Certificate of Posting. You can upgrade to 1st Class Recorded Delivery for an additional charge by selecting this option in our Shopping Cart.
All retail orders of £15.00 or over are sent to UK addresses by 1st Class Recorded Delivery.
Overseas retail orders are sent by Air Mail.
Unless otherwise noted on our homepage, we despatch every Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
Orders are usually despatched on the same day whenever possible, or the next working day after payment has cleared. As we don't usually despatch on Wednesdays, on occasions orders placed on a Tuesday may not be despatched until Thursday.
Standard packaging for retail discs is sturdy cardboard sleeves. For maximum protection we recommend you buy an Ejector Case for each disc.
In order to be environmentally friendly, we re-use packaging as much as possible, so you may receive a recycled jiffy bag, or other packaging, for larger orders.
CDs, DVDs and USB Keys are checked and verified prior to being despatched. If you think that a disc you have received from us is faulty, please contact us. We might ask a few questions just to ensure it is a fault with the item and not another problem that we can help you to resolve.
If the item needs to be returned to us we will send you a Return Materials Authorization (RMA). Please ensure that this RMA is clearly displayed on the outside of the envelope/package you are returning. Any returns sent to us without a RMA number will be refused.
You must send the item back (using a tracked service such as Recorded Delivery) before a replacement or refund can be issued. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item(s) to us, you may include a copy of your postage receipt if you wish.
If you have returned an item to us and, after testing, we determine that the item is NOT faulty, we will send you a payment link for you to pay the cost of returning the item to you.
Please note: you are responsible for ensuring that your computer hardware meets the system requirements for running/installing an Ubuntu based Linux distribution. We cannot accept returns for Ubuntu CDs purchased in error.
If we receive a return from you, we will contact you concerning the item within 5 working days.
If you wish to claim a refund because of non-delivery, please be aware that Royal Mail will will not consider an item "lost" until 15 working days have passed. This means that we cannot chase Royal Mail until after this period of time has elapsed, and we cannot process any refunds before we have received a reply from Royal Mail.
If you have returned an item to us for testing, and we determine that the item is faulty, we will either:
- send a replacement to you free-of-charge
- refund the original purchase price you paid for the item
We will email you to ask which option you prefer. If you do not respond to our email within 48 hours, we will send a replacement to you free-of-charge.
If you wish to cancel an order before you have received notification that your order has been despatched please send us an email, referencing your Order Number and with CANCELLATION in the email subject line. We will confirm cancellation by email, and refund your payment promptly.
Under the Distance Selling Regulations you may cancel your order within seven working days following the day on which you receive the goods. However, we regret that this does not apply where software products have been unsealed.
If you wish to return a sealed order within this seven day period, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item(s) to us.
Your personal details will be stored securely and used only by www.8daysaweek.co.uk for the purpose of processing your order. We may also use the information for our own research and analysis.
We will not pass on your personal details or email address to any other party. You will receive only relevant emails from us regarding special offers, new releases and website news. You can unsubscribe from our Mailing List at any time.

When you click on any [Add to Cart] button on this website, your item is added to a third party shopping cart (aitsafe.com).
After you enter your order details, if you decide to complete payment for your order by Credit or Debit Card, the shopping cart will then pass you to a secure site to enter your payment details. You can identify a secure site by:
- the letters https:// at the beginning of the URL in the address bar of your browser
- a padlock symbol in your browser
Where the padlock appears will depend on the browser you're using, it may be in the status bar at the bottom of the screen, or next to the address bar at the top of the screen.
We accept card payments through third party payment processors (Nochex and Paypal). These companies have extremely robust security measures in place to protect both your information and your transactions. Information processed by Nochex and Paypal is encrypted and held on secure servers.
We do not receive any card or bank details from these providers, only confirmation that your payment has been successful so that we can despatch your order.
The discs and other media we despatch are scanned for viruses. However, we recommend that you still scan any media you receive from us (or anywhere else) with your own up-to-date virus checker. We offer all items in good faith and the instructions we provide are as comprehensive as possible. We have used all the software we promote without problems, however if you decide to install any of this software you do so at your own risk.
We have permission from OpenOffice.org to distribute the program as a Community Distributor.
The language of software on this site is English (unless otherwise specified)
We can only accept payments in Pounds Sterling (GBP) - we can accept payments from overseas,
please see Payment Options.
We use OpenOffice.org and have found it to be very stable. The following disclaimer is copied from the OpenOffice.org web site. It is here to fulfil the requirements for distributing the software:
