really simple question

I had open office writer a few years back and made a bunch of .sxw files with it. Now I've got an MS suite, and that's fine, but I want to be able to access my written information that I saved from my old computer.

Does the new version of openoffice still support .sxw? I know it's a simple question, but I can't find that specific info on the tech specs. I'm not that good with computers, and I don't know where else to look to find that information. I don't want to go through the hassle of downloading the whole open office program to have writer not recognize the files I want it to access and change.

Yes, OpenOffice.org 3 does open sxw files. I believe there are other Office Suites that do too.
